Green Zen is our functional green smoothie mix featuring kale as the star ingredient, balanced with mango, banana, and pineapple. The tropical fruit tones down the bitterness of kale and creates a refreshing green smoothie that even guests who usually shy away from greens will enjoy. For restaurant kitchens, this means: one bag and you have a healthy option on the menu, without having to wash, de-stem, or portion out kale.
The mix consists of four ingredients: mango for a sweet tropical base, pineapple for a fresh tang, banana for body and creaminess, and kale as a functional ingredient. Kale is known for its high content of vitamin C, vitamin K, iron, and fiber. In the mix, it’s frozen in chunks, so it can go straight into the blender without any prep work.
No added sugars, no artificial colors, no flavor enhancers. The green color comes entirely from the kale itsel, and the tropical sweetness purely from the fruit.
Hotels with a health or wellness menu are the natural customers: guests nowadays expect at least one green smoothie on the breakfast menu, and this mix provides it without the kitchen having to order, refrigerate, or prepare leafy greens.
We also see Green Zen frequently used at sports clubs with cafés, corporate cafeterias focused on health, health-conscious caterers, juice bars, and hotels with spa facilities. At retail cafés and lunchrooms, the blend is popular as a healthy option alongside the standard coffee-and-sandwich offerings.
This is also a logical choice for hospitality venues that want to operate regardless of the season: fresh kale is a winter vegetable, but a green smoothie sells year-round, especially in January (good intentions) and during the summer months (light meals).
Five Uses for Green Zen
1. Wellness smoothie for breakfast or brunch. Blend 150 grams with coconut water or plant-based milk to make a drinkable green smoothie. Serve in a tall glass with a straw or in a take-out cup.
2. Green bowl. Mix 200 grams with yogurt or plant-based yogurt to create a thick base. Top with granola, chia seeds, kiwi, and shredded coconut. A hit on brunch menus at boutique hotels.
3. Detox shot. Blend 80 grams with ginger juice and a splash of lemon juice. Serve in a shot glass—perfect for wellness packages or spa cafés.
4. Smoothie component for catering. Pre-mix with yogurt and freeze in cup-sized portions. Ideal for breakfast catering, events, and trade shows where guests expect a healthy option.
5. Combination with protein powder. Blend with whey or plant-based protein powder for a post-workout smoothie. Great for sports club cafés and gym restaurants.
Kale is a hassle to prepare fresh: washing, removing the stems, chopping it up, and then making sure the fibers don’t clog your blender during a busy service. That’s not practical for a green smoothie on a busy day.
A frozen smoothie mix eliminates these steps. The kale is pre-washed, de-stemmed, and frozen in blender-friendly pieces. Moreover, the nutritional value of frozen kale is at least equal to that of fresh kale, often even higher, because it is frozen immediately after harvest instead of sitting in cold storage for days.
Cost is predictable (no price fluctuations due to season or weather conditions), waste is zero, and your guest gets the same taste and color every time.
For years, Fruitlife has been supplying frozen fruit and vegetable mixes to hotels, health-focused caterers, sports clubs, and wellness centers across Europe. Our strength: we’re your one-stop supplier for both the tropical fruit and leafy greens in your green smoothie, no need to source mango, pineapple, and kale separately and combine them yourself.
Consistently high-quality kale is hard to find in the fresh produce section; different suppliers offer varying levels of firmness and waste rates. In our production process, the kale is blanched immediately after harvest, de-stemmed, and frozen into blender-friendly pieces. The result is consistent in taste, color, and portion control, regardless of the season.
We are a natural partner for wellness- and health-oriented hospitality businesses: we provide advice on application, packaging, and samples so you can test the concept first before agreeing on a fixed delivery solution.

Does the kale have a strong flavor?
No. The mango and banana dominate the flavor profile. The kale is recognizable by its aroma and color, but its flavor remains in the background. Suitable for guests who don’t usually order green smoothies.
Is this an organic product?
By default, the mix is not certified organic, but it is 100% natural with no additives. For restaurants and cafes that specifically want to source organic products, we can discuss an organic option—please contact us to explore the possibilities.
How many grams per smoothie or bowl?
For a drinkable smoothie, use 120–150 grams of mix. For a bowl, use 180–220 grams. The exact amount depends on your desired thickness and glass/cup size.
Does frozen kale retain the same nutritional value as fresh kale?
Yes. Studies show that flash-freezing immediately after harvest preserves the nutritional value to be equal to, or sometimes even better than, fresh kale that has been in the supply chain for several days. Vitamins C and K are well preserved.
Is the mix suitable for children?
Yes. The sweetness of mango and banana makes the smoothie kid-friendly. For young children, you can dilute it with more fruit or plant-based milk.
Can I request a sample?
Yes, we provide free samples. This way, you can test the mix on your own menu before placing an order.
